Arabic Grammar Lesson Two: Preposition في (Fee)

In order to get a better understanding of في in a sentence, two other words and their plurals are introduced here.

Sentence:

.أنا في بَيْتٍ
I am in a home.

بَيْتٍ في أنا
a home in I am

Although the phrase ana fee baytin literally means “I in a home”, in Arabic this is a complete sentence meaning “I am in a home”. The verb “to be” (in this construction,” am”) in the present tense is always deleted.

Sentence:

. نَحْنُ في بَيتٍ

   We are in home.

بَيتٍ في نَحْنُ
home In (at) We are

Let see some more words and practice في (fee) in sentences.
